Artwork Using Chalkola Watercolor 12ml Tubes

I was sent a few products from Chalkola to review and one of the products was the 36 set of Chalkola Watercolor 12ml Tubes. To find out more about the Chalkola Watercolor Tubes, you can check out my YouTube review or written review.

I am not exactly what you would call proficient on watercolors, but over the last two or three years I have been testing a lot of various watercolor grades, the difference between tubes and pans, but my ability to create art with watercolor, whilst improving, is not at the level my colored pencil or marker work is at, so I hope you can bear with me.

As you can see from the paper texture, I used quite a high grade paper in the Derwent Inktense Paper which I really enjoyed using. I might also add that I am well aware of the fact that, ordinarily you would not use a budget grade watercolor on a high grade watercolor paper, financially it doesn’t make sense and lots of other factors as well, at least that is what the artist purist would tell you. But on a personal note, I say you use what you want and what you are comfortable with, art for me is about fun, expression and inspiration, anything additional to that is a bonus.

In the end I was quite happy with the final image, it took me a while but I got there in the end. I also found this image on Pinterest so whilst I painted it, I am not the original artist, that credit goes to Alison C, believe me her original piece is certainly worth a look at and the difference in work will absolute confirm what I have already mentioned.
