Caran Dache Pablo Versus Faber Castell Polychromos

In this comparison review we are looking at the Caran d’Ache Pablo against the Faber Castell Polychromos. Now, if you are relatively new to the world of Colored Pencils, the Faber Castell is the work horse for so many colored pencil artist, some of the finest colored pencil artists in the world use exclusively Faber Castell Polychromos.

The Best White Coloured Pencil.

For this test I have used both black and toned tan paper, the black paper is Winsor & Newtons black paper and it is beautiful quality, a nice rich black and just the right amount of tooth to the paper. The Toned Tan paper is none other than the awesome Strathmore Toned Tan paper.

Caran d'Ache Luminance V's Derwent Lightfast

Both the Caran d'Ache luminance and Derwent Lightfast pencils compliment one an other beautifully, they each hold qualities that the other does not, making them the perfect couple. If I was asked by an artist that they could only get one set, which would I recommend, I think that choice would be as tough as asking me who I love more, my son or my daughter; well maybe not quite that tough, but you get what I mean.
