Woomer reached out to me a couple of months ago and asked if I would review their 72 set of Colored Pencils, now, at the time of the communication with Woomer, they had also just released a 90 set and 133 set. Ordinarily, when I review a product I try my best to review the full palette count as this provides a much more comprehensive account of the product, but on this occasion, Woomer had not yet devised a marketing campaign for the 90 or 133 set.
Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you like to shop for your art supplies and where in the world you live, this review is of another Chinese brand colored pencil. Brutfuner is a popular pencil, certainly from the budget persuasion, they have quite a few different sets, but the set that we are reviewing here is the Brutfuner 120 Set Square Colored Pencils. On the packaging they are referred to as Brutfuner Oily Colored Pencils.
The thing that drew me to the Nyoni Colored Pencils was the barrel, most of the Japanese pencils I have reviewed have been pencils worthy of use and they have all sported a certain barrel type. When I seen the Nyoni Colored Pencils, their barrel reminded me of said Japanese pencils and so that was the initial attraction.
