I have reviewed a few pencils from the Lyra family range and I have to say, I have always been impressed with the over all performances. I reviewed Lyra’s most popular pencil among colored pencil artists, the Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor, in fact I have reviewed this pencil twice. I reviewed them a few months after I started the channel but completed a second review more recently,
I personally feel that calling the Lux Archival paper, “sanded” does the paper a disservice, it feels and performs a lot more complex, special and unique than just sanded paper. The best and only way that I have been able to describe the surface of the Lux Archival is “ Sanded Velvet Paper ”.
We all know what amazing products Faber Castell produce and the Goldfaber coloured pencils are absolutely no exception. So I will show my hand right from the get go and tell you that I have loved using the Goldfaber pencils, my only criticism is the set sizes and to be honest, it is more of a compliment rather than a criticism.
