Caran d'Ache Fancolor Robin and Blue Tit Painting.

In an attempt to help demonstrate the product I am reviewing I always try to present some form of art work, it has been a really difficult week or so for our family and so I have done the best I can under the circumstances. The art work that I have presented below has been created with the Caran d’Ache Fancolor Water Soluble Colored Pencils.

I have no idea why, but my youngest daughter Amelia asked me to draw a Robbin and Blue Tit together, I am sure a lot of you keen bird watchers out there will let me know that the likelihood of both birds being together is rare, but it was something Amelia really wanted me to try and so this is the results.

The paper I used for this painting was the Strathmore Mixed Media 400 Series, not a traditional watercolor paper nevertheless and robust enough paper to withstand water soluble pencils and on this occasion the Caran d’Ache Fancolor.

The Caran d’Ache Fancolor are a children’s based art product, at least this is the market Caran d’Ache have aimed the Fancolor toward, however, it is important to remember we are talking about Caran d’Ache here. As is the case with many of their products, a children’s art product can sometimes match that of a student grade product or even artist grade product for other companies.

To find out more about the Caran d’Ache Fancolor Water Soluble Colored Pencils you can check out my written review of the pencils by following the link, alternatively you can sit back and relax and watch my YouTube video review of the Fancolor.

As well as this page of still images I have also created a speed painting using the Caran d’Ache Fancolor pencils on my YouTube channel which can sometime help the viewer get a better understanding of the products true capability.
