Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle and Holbein Watercolor Pencil Comparison Botanical Artwork

Due to the fact Holbein very recently released their brand new 50 set of Holbein Artist Watercolor Pencils, I thought it would be a good idea to compare them with the Caran d’Ache Museum Aquarelle. For the longest time, the Caran d’Ache Museum Aquarelle Watercolor Pencils have been widely considered the best water-soluble pencils on the market.

Given the fact that the Holbein Colored Pencil are widely loved among colored pencil artists, with some colored pencil artists preferring the Holbein Colored Pencils over the Caran d’Ache Luminance, Derwent Lightfast and Faber Castell Polychromos; so it was a wonderful comparison in the making.

At the end of the day, the artwork completed is essentially a watercolor painting and so I used the St Cuthberts Mill, Saunders Waterford, Hot Pressed Watercolor Paper, 100% cotton and one of the finest watercolor paper companies in the art world. I used the same paper for the demonstration tests conducted in the YouTube video review, which you can see by clicking the relevant link.

If you would like to know more about this comparison, you can check out the YouTube Video Comparison by following the link or alternatively head over to the written review by clicking on the link. I have also added a short speed drawing video of both art pieces coming to life allowing you to determine for yourself which seems more in line with your artistic requirements.
