Kingfisher Artwork Using Gold Horse Colored Pencils

When I usually add still images to The Art Gear Guide to view, I start with the line drawing, I take photos of the artwork throughout as it progresses and then the final piece. Unfortunately this time the card I used became damaged and so many of the images taken were unable to be used.

When I create a review of any product, I try to demonstrate the product on as many different paper types as I can. With the Gold Horse Colored Pencils I completed the tests and swatch on Strathmore 300 Series Bristol Velum as well as Black Paper to demonstrate the translucency or opaqueness of them. For the artwork in this article, I used the Derwent Lightfast Paper, a high quality 100% cotton paper with exceptional archival properties.

If you would like to know more about the Gold Horse Colored Pencils that created this Kingfisher artwork, you can either click on the link to watch my YouTube Review or if YouTube is not your thing, I also have a fully detailed written review, filled with detailed images of the Gold Horse Pencils, including demonstrations of the pencils on various paper types. I have also added a speed drawing YouTube Video to The Art Gear Guide YouTube channel which you can watch by clicking the link. This piece of art took a total of 12 hours to complete and I have reduced it down to 8 minutes for the speed drawing video.
