Artwork Using The Staedtler Mars Lumograph Colour Aquarell.

The artwork on this page was completed using the new Staedtler Mars Lumograph Colour Aquarell, water-soluble pencils, to help demonstrate the product’s quality, for the main written and YouTube video review. The paper used for this artwork was the St Cuthbert’s Mill, Saunders Waterford, 140 lb, Hot pressed, 100% Cotton paper. For the complete review, I also used the St Cuthbert’s Mill, Millford, Cold Pressed, 140 lb paper when completing the swatch. When I complete my reviews of any product, I like to test and showcase the product on as many different paper surfaces as I can afford. I think it is important to display the results of a product on various paper surfaces as viewers will not all be using the same paper.

As you can see from the images provided, the richness and vibrancy of the color from the Staedtler Mars Lumograph Colour Aquarell pencils is really quite remarkable. After each layer dried, I was able to continue applying layers, helping to create a rich depth to the artwork, this was possible due to the quality of both the Staedtler Mars Lumograph Colour Aquarell and the high quality St Cuthbert’s Mill paper.

Staedtler has always been a huge name in the world of stationary and back to school products, however they have had a few artist quality items in their arsenal, products such as the wonderful Staedtler Mars Lumograph Graphite range and the more recent Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black. Staedtler obviously created sets of colored pencils, water soluble pencils, water soluble crayons etc, but my issue was that the sets were never big enough. The products were excellent quality, but there just wasn’t enough of them, but this is no longer the case with this amazing 120 set of Staedtler Mars Lumograph Colour Aquarell.
