Scorpion Colored Pencils & Giveaway

The Black Widow Colored Pencils were a big hit with people, back in that review Albert was kind enough to provide sets of the Black Widow pencils for giveaways and the feedback from the winners was excellent. However, not just the winners generated excellent feedback, others who purchased them on Amazon also really enjoyed using them.

Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil Review

Over the past year or so I have been pretty critical of Prismacolor Premier pencils and this is the reason why. When I first got into colored pencils, the vast majority of the YouTube videos about spoke mainly of Prismacolor and so they were the pencils I wanted to get.

Staedtler Ergosoft

Although school children are the main focus of the Staedtler Ergosoft, it is not the only group using the pencil. Adult coloring books are taking the world by storm at the minute, producing fantastic artists and wonderful illustrators. So many of the adult coloring books are works of art in their own right and collectively and as a community, adult coloring books have helped in so many other areas of life.

Koh-I-Noor Polycolor Brown Set

I think Koh-I-Noor are quite an over looked pencil and in my opinion, I think they are an excellent pencil. For young artists just starting out in colored pencils and perhaps on a budget but still wanting to get professional results, Koh-I-Noor are one of my first recommendations to people.

The Best White Colored Pencil

Colored pencil artists, pastel artist and perhaps many other types of artists, are always on the lookout for the best, most opaque, white colored pencil, pastel pencil or whatever medium you are using. It seems, that everyone is seeking for the Holly-Grail of white opaque application, especially for colored pencil artists given the method of layering etc

Derwent Procolour Winner

Conragulations to the winner of the Derwent Procolour Giveaway, thank you so much for taking part in the giveaway and for all your support. Derwent have really struck gold with the Procolour and I feel these pencils are going to be such a massive hit among colored pencil artists, adult coloring book artists and colored pencil enthusiasts in general.

Bruynzeel Design Review

Bruynzeel is a brand of pencil, over looked by a company called Royal Talens, when I looked into the Royal Talens company and their products, they actually produce a vast array of art supplies, one of which you may be quite familiar with and that is the Pigma Micron fineliners and brush pens.

Derwent Pencil Buddy

The Derwent Pencil Buddy looks gorgeous on any desk, whether or not it is modern or antique. The brilliant white plastic with geometric design looks stylish, however, it would be nice to have one or two other colors introduced to the pencil buddy.

Holbein Artist Colored Pencil

Holbein is an incredibly formidable and respected name in the art world, mainly for their wonderful paints, inks and pastels. Although their colored pencils may not carry the same reputation throughout the art community, I can hand on heart tell you that they certainly deliver the same amazingly high quality results.

Derwent Procolour Review

Check out this review of the highly anticipated new Derwent ProColour colored pencil. The ProColour is Derwents newest member to their already impressive range of colored pencils. Will the ProColour be up to the high standards of its fellow Derwent art supplies? check out this review to find out what Derwent have in store for us all.

Koh-I-Noor Woodless Pencils

The Koh-I-Noor Woodless colored pencil is a generous 7.3mm diameter of pure pigment, no wood barrel eating into precious space for additional pigment. I have received many emails and messages asking for these wonderful pencils to be reviewed, however, before actually getting them in my hand, I must admit, i thought they would have a waxy residue to the touch, but this is absolutely not the case.

Stylefile Marker Review

There are three different types of Stylefile markers available at the minute and as I have mentioned, as a collection, as a collaboration between all three styles of marker, Stylefile make creating your art such an amazing experience.

Derwent Mechanical Pencil

Derwent have been extremely busy over the past few years and we as consumers are about to bare all the fruits of their labour. Let me be a bit more specific, Derwent have been working on a few new products of which I am incredibly honoured to have been allowed access to for review purposes. I don't want to get ahead of myself, so we will take it one new product at a time.

Faber Castell Albrecht Dürer Watercolor Pencils

Watercolor pencils have become an incredibly popular medium, allowing for all the beauty and movement of conventional watercolor paints, while allowing for the all the detailed precision and portability of a pencil. Given the wonderful advantages of combining watercolor paint and the humble pencil, it is hardly surprising that watercolor pencils have become a very popular medium.

Derwent Pencil Museum Official Opening

toward the end of May, I was incredibly fortunate and honoured to have received an invitation to the official opening of the new and improved Derwent Pencil Museum.  This is only an hour and a half drive from were I live, which doesn't sound like much, but with my spinal injury, the journey took much longer due to many stops needing to be made to ease my pain.

Spectrum Noir Graphic Marker

A short while after the release of the Illustrator markers, Spectrum Noir and Crafters Companion the parent company, released the Graphic Markers. I have had the privilege once again to use and review these markers and show you what they are capable of.

Colored Pencil Storage

Over the year or so that I have been in love with colored pencils, I, like so many others hooked on the thrill and excitement of this wonderful medium, have used all sorts of systems to keep our pencils safe and accessible, however, in my opinion, none come close to the Robax Engineering Colored Pencil Plastic Tray Storage System.

Spectrum Noir Aqua Blend

Spectrum Noir are a British born company, run by parent company Crafters Companion. On the grand scheme of things and in comparison to other colored pencil manufacturers or art suppliers in general, Spectrum Noir are relatively new to the scene. However, they have absolutely made up for lost time and now pack a metaphorical punch in this industry.

Tom Bow Irojiten

Tombow is a Japanese company, originally setup back in 1913, from this date on, Tombow have been producing cutting edge art supplies at mid table affordable prices. This may be a stereotypical comment to make, however I don't intend it to be, but the Japanese as a culture are immensely hard working and invest so much pride into their work that the end results are immaculate and TomBow is no exception to this.
